We took many China tours in the past years and enjoyed each of them. I never considered opera was just an art of “Grannies”,and a considerable amount of young people take it as one of their favorite hobbies.Some can even sing it quite well.I remember that my mother were a fan of Shaoxing opera,she always repeated the lines from the famous “A dream of red mansion”which echos in my mind time to time.I love Shaoxing opera as well,for poetic lyrics and euphonious rhythm,also graceful actors and actresses.
