Suzhou is renowned for its beautiful private gardens and delicate embroidary. Gardens in Suzhou have a history of 2600 years. More than 200 gardens existed in Suzhou between 16th century and 18th century. They were built according to the style of Chinese Paintings. Suzhou gardens enjoy the fame of ‘Gardens to the south of Yangtze River are the best in the world, and Suzhou gardens are the best among them’. Some of these gardens are kept intact such as Humble Administrator’s Garden, the Lingering Garden, and the Garden of Master of Nets. Refined Suzhou embroidery is one of the four… Read the rest

When we were almost suffocated by the mounting-up pressures, finally we decided to gave us a break and surrendered to our cravings for the sun, sand and the tropical lushness.  Packing our bags, we left ever-buzzing noise of the city and headed for Kota Kinabulu—a city located on the west coast of “the Land Below the Wind.”

Even the plan of Air Asia had some spirit, offering us a glimpse of this romantic escape.

We booked our tickets about… Read the rest

Everything has a price to pay. Two day’s revelry in Hongkong, followed by a whole hectic week, followed by never-ending calls, pile-up works and mounting-up pressures, I was left extremely deflated. With the contract going to draw a close, everyone was trapped in a suffocating tight schedule. Even if I could spare some time—which was highly unlikely, I would feel restless and unable to settle on anything else.

Thank God, it’s all over now. Now I could sit quietly down in front of my computer, sipping my coffee, and relive every moment of my little adventure in Hongkong. In… Read the rest

Looking  out of the car’s window, I was dizzy with delight, anticipation fizzing in my body like champagne bubbles. Finally we were in Sanya—the wonderland closest to the paradise. A whole month’s plan and waiting, and finally we were here! It’s quite dark now, but I could still hear the waves lapping lazily against the shore. A kind of soothing tranquility was in the air, perfuming it like the bouquet of the wine. I took a deep breath, letting myself drowning in the profound scent of the sea.

However the C-trip driver’s words cooled my zest down a little.… Read the rest

westlake

I went to the Westlake for experiencing the romantic air and the relaxing atmosphere and ended up with super affectionateness for Shaoxing Opera swirl around the lake.

On the minute I stepped out the Hangzhou East Railway Station, I was quite down by the sight spreaded in front of my eyes, what a mess it was ! People with luggages small or big came and went in a mess, hawkers, peddlers put things in no order, ticket touts whispered to you every now and then, and a louderspeaker warning people of cheaters and deceivers endlessly. No matter what… Read the rest

I heard too many things about foreign countries from my sister these days, sanitary, polite, ordered traffic system, perfect welfare system etc. She told me that drivers would slow down in distance when they spot pedestrians crossing the zebra line, If the pedestrians hesitate to cross, they’ll stop to ask them whether to pass or not, showing full respect. Most impressed one was when she said once a driver even stopped and came out of his car to help an elder cross the road. Then I wonder what’s wrong with Chinese traffic?Suck! I even don’t want to mention it.

All in all,my sister’s… Read the rest

xitangtown

Long covered corridors guard the ancient town from thousands of years of winds and rains.Street markets are near rivers, with flaunting flags and red lanterns. The scenery was just like a painting freshly finished under a master’s hand. After solitary stroll among allies for hours, finally I rest myself on the steps of a stone bridge, enjoying the sight spreaded in front of me. Black-awning boats anchored silently in the river, green wickers hang down tenderly and gently… more closer to water, stretch my hands and gamboling with water, gentle breeze eased my mind and I looked up to the sky smiling happily, what a… Read the rest

Opportunity presents itself in an unexpected way. Three months after my trip to Sabah, I am now blessed with another opportunity to visit Malaysia. This time, my destination is Redang Island, where the wide-known movie More More Tea Inn(夏日麽麽茶)had been shot. If I was not so occupied with many other things, I would have been ecstatic about it long time ago. However, until now—only a dozen days left before this wonderful journey, I start to feel excited.

It requires a lot patience and strength to organize a trip. I planed this trip, if not perfect, but… Read the rest
